Now in it’s 24th year, SXSW will feature at least 2,000 bands across over 80 stages all over downtown Austin.  On top of that, speakers and panels, informal get-togethers, parties and after-parties and your random, “totally forgot about you” meeting.  In order to navigate all of this mess and try to keep you from being a combination of overwhelmed and exhausted, here are some resources to help you plan your time and be organized…even though we all know you’re going to wing it anyway!

SCHED *Unofficial Guide to SXSW 2010 – This tool really may have it all, not only does it just organize times and events, but it claims it will be recommending shows based on preferences (powered by Echonest).

SuperGlued – Fresh off a new partnership with BandsinTown, and integrated with Twitter and foursquare SuperGlued could be the killer live music discovery app everyone has been waiting for.  Let’s see if this will break out from SXSW.

SXSW Play – Gotta give SXSW at least their shot of owing an app at their conference.  I haven’t used it yet, but figured you need to give them a shout-out, I mean, it is their festival.

my.SXSW – And here’s SXSW’s other app, which I also haven’t used yet, but it looks like it’s something like foursquare meets SCHED.

And for those winging it, let’s not forget the upcoming battle between foursquare and Gowalla and there’s always the now old-fashioned call/texting to figure out where people are at.
